Melissa officinalis, also known as lemon balm, is named “Melissa” because of its sweet, fresh, citrus-like scent that attracts bees (Melissa is the Greek word for “honey bee”). Lemon balm is one of our rarest and most expensive oils and offers a multitude of benefits and uses. Due to its positive effect on mood, external application of lemon balm has long been used to relieve feelings of tension and nervousness.

• For younger skin and a fresh spirit, add to your moisturizer or add a spray bottle filled with water and spray on the face.
• Rub on forehead, shoulders, or chest for a sense of calm and emotional wellbeing.

Instructions for use

diffusion : Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.

Use as a food additive : Dilute one drop with 125 mL of liquid.

External application : Mix 5 drops with 10 mL carrier oil for massage. Mix 5 drops with 5 mL carrier oil as a bath additive. Mix 1 drop with 10 drops of carrier oil as a perfume.
