Neroli essential oil is extracted from the flowers of the bitter orange tree. Three different essential oils are extracted from this tree: orange from the orange peel, petitgrain from the leaves and twigs and neroli from the flowers. Much research has been carried out on the aroma of neroli essential oil. It is known for its soothing, uplifting aroma that can induce relaxation and promote mental and emotional wellbeing. When used externally, neroli oil can soothe the skin and reduce the appearance of blemishes.
