Pink pepper, which is very similar to black pepper except for the color, is actually closely related to the cashew. “Molle”, better known as the Peruvian pepper tree, was considered sacred by the Inca. All parts of the plant, including the pink fruit, were used by the Incas for their beneficial health benefits. Due to its mild, fruity, peppery taste, pink pepper can be used instead of ground black pepper to season meat, sauces and other dishes.

Possible applications

  • For a soothing massage oil, combine one or two drops with fractionated coconut oil from dōTERRA.
  • Incorporate pink pepper into your next dish for a special spicy note.
  • The invigorating aroma attracts attention.
  • Pink pepper can be used in place of black pepper in cooking.
  • Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.
  • Internal use: Dilute one drop with 120 ml of liquid.
  • External use: Apply one to two drops to the desired area. Use diluted with a carrier oil to minimize skin sensitivity.
